Briess 2-Row Black Malt (also know as Black Patent) has a dark brown to black color and a bold, roasted flavor. It is not only suitable for dark beers, but small quantities can also be used in lighter beers for color adjustments with little to no flavor. Despite being dark in color, it has little impact on foam color and will still preserve a light-colored head.
